    Liquid Engineering Thread.

I'm interested in what oil types we are using in our airheads. Sorry limited to 10 options. I don't want to get into any deep oil speak but if you want to add some basic info: Dino or Synthetic etc that would be helpful.

    example:

    Manufaturer: Castrol
    Brand: GTX - Dino
    Weight: 20W50
    Motorcycle: R80RT ('86)
    Miles: 62,34

*Pennzoil, yep typo in poll list.

This will tie in to the oil analysis thread I started:

I'm hoping to develop a list of the oils for testing...we've already got a list of possibilities in the other thread.

The reason I use Valvoline MC oil is the local Advance Auto stocks it and it's reasonably priced. It has a good amount of zinc and phosphorus. I standardize on one oil for my Airhead to prevent the "build up" of partial containers of many different brands of oil. I choose to use dino in it for a few reasons. The bike doesn't get ridden a lot so it's changed prior to 3,000 miles, unlike oilheads this engine isn't so hard on oil, supposedly is less likely to seep past seals than synthetic.
