Clutch Lever Rubber Boot

While performing my first spline lube on my 1984 R80RT I see that the rubber boot that is over the clutch lever at the back of the transmission is all torn up.

$37 at MAX, ouch, does anyone know of an alternate solution?

Realize that the cost is going to be amoritized over many, many years. It sounds steep up front, but in the end, it's just a couple of dollars a year!
