Asolos are all I've been wearing for all of my multi-week tours for over fifteen years. They are waterproof, comfortable and tough.
I wear Merrell's, but same idea.

http://www.danner.com/boots/ I have a pair of Ft Lewis and they are so comfortable, never want to take them off. They have what's called "speed lacing", I never figured out what that meant until I paid a visit to The Danner Factory Store this past summer and they explained the technique to me. Now I enjoy my boots that much more. I'll visit the store again next year during the International rally. My boots are 10" but you can select different heights on their web site.

Danner has a web sale every so often and tomorrow they are going to have another. Not sure what boot models they will have on sale but usually they have both tall and shorter boots available.
