In addition, contact a local ABATE club, in South Carolina we were successful to change the law that we can run a light after sitting for 2 minutes.

Illinois also allows motorcyclists to run lights after waiting a "reasonable" amount of time. My local PD interprets that as the time for two or more normal light cycles. Still not sure how this works with the photo enforced lights.
Good judgment comes from experience, but experience often comes from bad judgment.
It especially won't work on almost any modern traffic light that is controlled by a camera. The camera has no idea a magnet is in the area.. it's looking for a change in the image at the intersection. The camera controlled ones do seem to work fine with motorcycles.

I put one on each of my bikes, one is a cruiser,and that one works. The other bike is a G650GS, and that one doesn't, I think the GS sits too high for it to work.
Green Triggers come in two strengths last time I checked. I had the smaller one and it works sometimes. I don't know about the bigger one. Anyone else know?

My experience was that it did make a couple of lights that I couldn't trip before work, but probably 80% of them in my town still don't (Carlisle Borough and Middlesex Township, PA). I used the super duper one. I've written to the local police and the state highway patrol and been completely ignored. Since I ride to work at 5:30 (the early one), I have to run them almost every day. The best I can do is if I ever get pulled for it is to go to court, document that I tried to get the unsafe situation fixed, and the police ignored me.
In some areas of the country they work, and not in others. If you remove a magnet from an old auto or M/C speaker and mount it under the engine of your bike, you can find out without spending any money. The bigger the magnet the better the chances it will work.
