I read the article on installing the newer cam chain tensioner on my 2004 R1150R and was wondering if it was already converted on my 2004 model. How does one know before I get too deep into the installation process? Is it true that if mine has 17mm head it is the older model? I also read somewhere that there is an easier way to install the newer cam chain tensioner without removing the throttle body or anyother parts but by simple manipulating the old one out and twicking the newer one in.
