Unfortunately, the DOT (and even the Snell) requirement is lacking compared to safety standards elsewhere.

I did some searching a few years ago and compared Snell testing to the European and British standards.

I'll run off a DOT sticker on the printer and stick it on my helmet, if it makes them happy.
