Where would you start looking?

As retired teachers we are sort of poor by the standards of many out there & what little we ever had we blew raising a family & what little we have left/coming in we blow mostly on travel & hobbies. When my co-workers used to talk about their investments I told them I was putting all my money into NIKE's.
One thing is for certain: We don't/didn't choose a place to live based on tax laws! What a way to live your life? Thus, my suggestion is that if the taxes are a main part of the decision as to where you choose to live. then you haven't learned "how to live".

With all due respect to the Texans.......Hill Country ain't all that.

If I was looking for better year-round riding than Maryland (and make no mistake, I ride year-round here), I'd look at Eureka Springs, AR first. If that was a no-go, then I'd head towards western Virginia/Kentucky/North Carolina/Tennessee. Far better climate than Texas, and far, far better riding.
