There are so many good ones out there, I just don't know if I have one favorite.

In the summer, the old saying seems to hold up: "The hotter the weather, the cheaper the beer."

I like a couple of local brews quite a bit, i.e. Grain Belt Premium, Schell's Dark (both brewed at Schell's in New Ulm, MN). For a good summer beer, I like plain old Leinie's red label in the brown bottle. It's a fantastic summer beer.

My son-in-law brews his own. My favorite is a golden ale that he brews. It's the frickin' nectar of the gods.

So many beers, so little time...

Potosi (kinda expensive), Point, gotta like a beer you can drink warm, Pabst, we go back a long way and Schlitzs, but bottle only the cans don't taste right. Now if only the taverns would hang the signs right. the sides should be plumb not top and bottom level. you only go around once in life, so go for the gusto.

    Summer Beers and Beer Touring!

    Where to begin...
since it is summer -- something not too chunky. How 'bout some Ranger IPA around the campfire? Yuengling - yeah, can never go wrong with that, but I'm in the wrong neighborhood to have it at a store near me. We have a camping ride coming up -- might include a tour of Schell's (New Ulm, Mn.) as part of it. Also a REALLY big fan of the Surly IPA "Furious" -- brewed in Brooklyn Park, Mn. which also offers a tour that should not be missed!

When the infrequent opportunity presents itself, I like to order a Big Black Homo at the Walking Man in Stevenson, WA.

New Glarus Brewing Co. Fat Squirrel and Spotted Cow. Gotta go to Wisconsin to get it, but it's nearly worth the trip. Great stuff.

Hales Ales Creme Ale. Nitrogen charged and the smoothest beer I've ever had.

I like the dark but not so keen on the regular-tastes like they bottled it too soon.
I place my one afternoon beer in the freezer & set the timer for 13 minutes, then enjoy! Anybody tried beergritas with Lime Cactus beer. I prefer the Michelobs.
