    Women Who Ride Seminar

This year, a one for FIRSTS, we celebrated with SEVEN of the most amazing women leading our panel. Can't thank them enough for taking time from their rally to share with us! If you missed it, this is some of what you missed. Not to mention the firsts we all shared and celebrated and in doing so made connections.

Leading off, Benka Pulko who has two Guiness Book Records as well as an amazing slide show of pictures of her travels which she shared in two seminars.

Next up, Valerie Thompson, who piloted an S1000RR to a record 209.5 MPH! She met and graciously posed for pictures in the EPM booth for hours on end and visited lots of smaller gatherings.

Then Tiffany Coates, currently the world's foremost female bike adventurer. If you missed her seminars, you really missed a firecracker!

Dawn Douglas, who had to rent a CAR came because she'd promised even though bike problems slowed her way down. Watch for her documentary travel show which is still being born.

Followed by Becky Baker, first woman to win her class in AHRMA. Her seminar was great for anyone who has ever dreamed of racing.

Then it was time for Ardys and Voni to share and celebrate our MILLION sMiles

Voni, I'm sorry I missed this! (But I missed all the seminars I had flagged - including our own!) Busy busy busy in the GS Giant area.

But on the plus side, it was great to finally meet you! Even if only while blocking traffic!

First National Convention-loved it all, especially Women who ride seminar

Thanks to you Voni and all who put this together. I am a 65 year old woman rider and was so truly impressed and inspired by this panel of ladies. I am a member of a women's riding organization and have met some great women, but these BMW riders were tops. As you said, I now have the 'BMW attitude'. Love all of the safety conscious riders-male and female. You accomplised a great feat with your million miles but to be accident free million miles is outstanding! Looking forward to joining you all in more ralleys and on this forum. Lynn

    The best seminar

The women's seminar was terrific. It is always one that I won't miss....so I work my volunteer hours around it!! Had a grand time!
    Thanks Voni!
P.S. You look so good in your riding pants that i am wondering what brand and model are they?? So many pants make us look like "Happy, the Clown" and the armour surely an float around the knee in a crash and be rather useless.

They're First Gear vented pants. I've loved First Gear for years because they care about making women's sizes that fit.

Although I had issues getting there, I still had a great time. Thank for asking me to join the panel Voni.

Thanks for asking me to be on the panel. I had a great time! Come out and see me race at Barber Motorsport Park in early October. My last race of the year!
