I think those are already on the market, they are called "Smart" cars and skipped the gyro in favor of 4 wheels. Interesting idea, just not sure why it would be better than a small car.

I have been following this for some time.
I like it. I could see it as my commuting vehicle alternating with my Roadster. Think it would be great fun.

The gyro is a cool idea. Where could I mount it on the 1100....?

It's a tarted up electric C-1 with a balancing system borrowed from a Segway. Big whoop. Does it come with a stand to support it when the batteries run low and those gyro wheels stop turning? It might be hard to pick up if it flops over in the parking lot at work.Just asking ..........

Sorry I don't agree with the C1 comment. This heads in a parallel but very different direction. Yes a lot of unanswered questions come to mind but, for me at least, aas many possibilities at the same time.
BMW has funded a great deal of research into vehicles like this. The Carver and other designs along this line come to mind.

Not a replacement for any bike I have or will own but could share the stall they occupy.

The big problem with the BMW C1 was that although it was designed to retain the rider in a cage (similar to this concept), almost no jurisdictions were prepared to modify the helmet requirements for motorcycles. Basically, if it has only 2 wheels (outriggers don't count), helmets are still required in places that require them for "standard" bikes.
The utility aspect of the design becomes quite compromised, when a helmet must still be worn and carted around. It is then apparent that the design is inferior to a small car.
