My wife gifted mine to me. I've had it on every bike except my current one. I haven't found a good place to hang it from yet.

Nice CYA on the legend:
The bell, plus a good preventive maintenance program by the bikeÔÇÖs owner, will help eliminate the Evil Road Spirits.

My wife gave me one a few years ago, I really don't have anywhere to hang it on my LT, it is not very aerodynamic, so it is tucked away in my top case. I can't really put belief in it but it was a gift and if it gives her piece of mind while I am out riding days at a time it is worth it. If she gave me reflective turd sticker for luck, I would stick it on my bike just for her. (only because it's reflective)
Then I hope it helps with that final drive too.![]()
Because I couldn't find a "deer" thread (does that search thing really work??) I decided to post under this 'bells and whistles' thread....

You can believe in them or not but, when gifted a bell you should appreciate that someone cares about you and wants you safe. It's not the bell it's the thought that counts.
My wife and I gave each other bells. They are a reminder to us that someone at home cares.
I lost mine recently. A couple of weeks later the biked died while running into the teeth of a strong thunderstorm.![]()
Diagnosis is that the HES needs to be replaced...Yes, along with the rear tire.
I hope she gets me another one next year when we go to The Blessing of the Bikes, again.
I'm not superstitious, but I have a bell on my GSA, at least for now, until it gets knocked off. It was given to me by a very good friend, and the bell is on the bike to honor that friendship. It's not about Gremlins, it's about people who care about you.![]()
