Considering the purchase of an R1100S, 2002, that is not currently equipped with a center stand. QUESTION: was this model and year bike offered with a centerstand, and if yes, to what models should I look for such a stand.

Bike was same all years 1999-2005. That is R1100S. Not likely same as any other model.

and some came with, some came without. no hard and fast rules- tho the BCRs, Sports and BCPs typically were not fitted without c-stands, and models with ABS, heated grips and high bars probably did.
easy enough to retrofit any year, except a BCR with large belly pan, for which you can have only 1: c-stand or b-pan, but not both (at least not without surgery).
