That is NOT good - the dryness you've got going on, that is. Tell you what. You can have some of our rain and we'll take some of your dry. Just don't want the rain during rally week. Deal?

Some are taking a real hit because of this hot, dry spell. But, if the rains could hold off and the heat could stay around till after the Rally, folks might stop complaining how hot it was in Bloomsburg.

This is like deja vu. I really would like to go but I ride for fun and not for misery. It'll be a last second decision. Last year I decided not to go and I was happy with my decision.

    Thumbs up

Thanks to tropical storm Debbie we got 30" of rain last month in N Florida. Our 2 year drought has ended. If you are concerned about rain make sure the tent you buy has 2 walls and a ground cloth. If I'm traveling and it rains or the temp is over 95deg a motel is my first choice. Otherwise the tent is used. I will be traveling to Copperas Cove, TX from Jax, FL and then to Sedalia, MO. The trip promises to be a hot one and some rain will probably be most welcome. Ride Safe

    Southern rain:)

I rode through a flood of rain from Pensacola to the West through Baton Rouge one afternoon. WOW did it rain, my mesh held none out either and I did not care getting real wet. 30mph on the Interstate 10 was all one could do. I hear Sedalia has much more resbit from the heat, with all its a/c buildings. We did not have that in Bloomsburg or much less of it. I will hit my tent way late with portable fan I just bought. 2AA batteries work it for a while anyways. Rubber blades so I don't kill myself with my fan. Randy

It was 104 yesterday and the humidity was 26. I am having second thoughts on going and extending my Paonia, CO TOR rally for a few days where the temps are high seventys in the day.

Rooms are not available within a reasonable distance to provide A/C. Another reason the Nationals Should either be held in the higher elevations or spring or fall. Lets think about the health of the membership not to mention the discomfort.

Salem next year will be somewhat better. At least the nights will be cool.

Hopefully it'll be cooler but long range forecasts on some weather sites are predicting 98F and 100F for next week Friday and Saturday. It seems like I'm staying home. Same as last year this is getting old.

I am old and going. Charlotte can be hotter than anyplace but Columbia, SC.
