    Children's book about a /2 rebuild

My wife has just completed a children's book. It is loosely based on the purchase and restoration of our '66 R60 /2. The book is called Max the Motorcycle. It's about how Max the Motorcycle first comes to the USA and is ridden by his first owner. After a time, he is put into a barn for storage. Later discovered and ridden again. It's Jen's first publication. She used a local artist for the illustrations. She has had a lot of fun with the project. She may even write a sequel.

It is available for purchase in hardcover or paperback at Lulu.com.

    Some of the illustrations...

And the bike that started the whole story...

Wonderful idea and a great looking bike to boot!
Best wishes in your adventure into publishing!

    Thumbs up

    Me too.

I have to tell you, these would sell like crazy in the vintage display area at the national.

I am not sure what the rules are for selling - you would need to check with Chasman and probably the Vintage folks, but I know there would be interested buyers.

    Thanks...

Thanks for the book order and the suggestion. For a couple of reasons I don't think we can make the rally this year. Great idea, though.

Thumbs up Book signing tomorrow at MAX BMW NH

My wife and I will be at the MAX BMW New Hampshire store tomorrow. MAX is having a cookout for all customers. Jen will have a table to sign some books for sale.

    Smile Christmas gift idea

I'm bumping this thread. Maybe this children's book would make a nice Christmas gift for a little motorcyclist in your life. Or a yankee swap item.
