    audio on bike

    Hello all and thanks for your reply to my original question about audio on the r1150rt. It seems earbuds with an ipod or putting mp3 files on my gps is the best way to go. There are pros and cons with everything. Ear buds or even ear plugs cut you off from road sounds, but on long trips on straight slabs, it seems reasonable. Ear buds in the city or congested areas would be a mistake in my opinion. Thanks again.

    Sorry for the late reply, works been crazy.

    It's a marine head unit ( KMR440), I used the stock BMW Radio harness and spliced in the head, the remote (KCA-RC107MR) is RAM mounted above the left grip.
    It has a USB input so my iPod or a flash drive full of music can be enjoyed for hours. I have had an 8 hour ride in the rain and these are still both working fine.
