    Im the luckiest man alive?

I've been hanging around here for about 1/2 a year, and read almost every post. I love gaining knowledge in little bits at a time. So in doing so, I must be the luckiest motorcyclist on this site. My case:
    -My bike starts everytime
-Its a K bike, but rarely smokes on start up
    -My helmet fits perectly.
-My helmet is quiet as a church. I have to turn the interecom volume 'down'!
    -My handlebars don't 'buzz'
-My girlfriend loves to ride and never EVER complains about ANYTHING when we ride.
-My girlfriend wants to by me a R1100RT
-My girlfriend is not for sale or rent, and no she doesn't have a sister
-Tire changes on my bike take less than 30 minutes
-I did a clutch replace/spline lube in one day on my first try.
-Girlfriend bought boots on the internet and they FIT!
    -I get 45mpg on my K100
-Seat beads made my seat so comfortable, I don't need a custom seat
-I live near great touring roads
-My local gas station sells 'no ethanol 91 octane' gas
-My speedometer has never worked, and I have come to terms with that.
-A cheap Givi "knock off" tail trunk has served me well for 3 years now.
-Motor oil threads do not get me excited.
-Tire threads do not get me excited.
-Helmet law threads do not get me excited.
-A 'good' ride report DOES gets me excited
-My ON magazine used to come in perfect condition, even BEFORE the plastic wrap.

-And last but not least, I have a job, my bills are paid, and the days are mine to do with as I please!

(All of the above statement are made with fingers crossed and wood knocked several times, and only after consulting several superstition reference manuals so as not to jinx myself.)

I don't think luck has anything to do with it. It's all additude, and a good girlfriend.

I guess now that I re-read it, it does sound a little 'holier than thou'. Thats not my intention. I was thinking more along the line of " if your happy and you know it clap your hands" and hoping to let some of it rub off on my fellow riders before the week end starts!

I read your first post and smiled for you the whole way through it. I didn't get a hint of anything but great attitude.

I also have benifitted greatly from this forum and this great group of people. They guided me through two K100 bikes that needed some TLC. I enjoyed 80K trouble free miles with what I learned here. And, even thouugh both are sold, Both are still on the road with new owners who are happy with them.

I am recently beemerless. I will still hang around this forum and organization for the great people.

O.K. long as we are rolling for bragging rights here goes

    -My bike starts everytime
-Its a R bike, but rarely smokes on start up
    -My helmet fits perectly.
    -I wear good ear plugs
-My handlebars 'buzz' it is a twin after all
-My wife of 33 years loves to ride her own bike and only complains when I push 10 hours in a day.
-My wife talked me into buying my first BMW and my current bike
-My wife is not for sale or rent, and yes she has a sister, but she is married too
-Tire changes on my bike take less than 30 minutes
-I haven't needed ANY major repairs after 50K hard miles
-Bought most of our gear off the internet and it all fits
    -I get 45mpg on my R1100S
-My seat so comfortable, I don't need a custom seat, or seat beads
-I wish I lived near twistier roads
-My speedometer works perfectly, aside from reading fast
-Motor oil threads do not get me excited.
-Tire threads do not get me excited, wearing out a set in a week does, in a good way
-Helmet law threads do not get me excited.
-A 'good' ride report DOES gets me excited
-My ON magazine used to come in perfect condition, even BEFORE the plastic wrap.

-And not last and not least, I work for myself, my wife makes great $$, , my bills are paid, and the days are mine to do with as I please!

    - "the trump card" My wife suggested we go for a once in a lifetime trip to the Alps in '99, then suggested a return in 2001, then suggested we return with our 3 sons in '04, let me spend 10 weeks in the Alps in '07, with her joining me the last 2 weeks, suggested we go back in '09, and '10, convinced our sons to go back last year, then informed me we need to make this an annual trip, so the French Alps are scheduled in Sept!

Love is a wonderful thing, BTW, I am sitting in Kauai, on the balcony, listening to the surf roll in, we were suppost to be riding NC, this week, but after I broke my leg 3 months ago, she thought this might be less taxing, on my leg, so as I sit here typing and drinking a nice Cabernet, I am planning my NC trip for the end of the month, the leg will be strong then
