    Question R12GS windshield advice

    Greetings,

In order to make the wife more comfortable on rides, I need to get a different windshield. The stock windshield on my '05 R1200GS is on the second highest setting and is perfect for me, but it directs the wind right into her helmet, so she spends the whole ride getting her helmet knocked around. I also have the adventure winglets installed.

The question is: Parabellum, Slipstreamer, Givi, Cee Bailey's, etc. etc?

I like looking over my windshield and don't want to add a laminar lip or clamp-on thingy. What's worked for y'all?

Can't speak for pax comfort, but using the larger Cee-Bailey's i think you'd have it covered. I have that shield for the cooler months, and never even adjust it up for myself. I sure of I raised it, that would send the air over any passenger. It's tall and it has a slight lip on it, so it works great.

Edit... I'm 5'8" and it's right below eye level at the lowest setting. If I slouch too much I look through it. A little annoying, but the advantages out weigh that.

I have tried several windshields on my GS. For me, the large BMW shield works best. I have the stock one, a Givi A330 and a short Cee Bailey's sitting on a shelf at home. I don't think BMW offers the large screen anymore. I bought mine second hand.

One option is the GSA screen. You'd need the mounts from a GSA as well for it to fit. Cee Bailey's makes various height screens, as do Parabellum, AeroFlow and others. Check the GSpot at advrider.com to see what others have done.
