The idea for Adventure Summits occurred after many years of leading dual sport rides, organizing and riding in events at various rallies and rendezvous, and going on a few press junkets as a motojournalist.

Go big, pay small
Adventure Summits are a series of social riding events where sponsors help increase quality and reduce costs for the riders. These events typically occur in conjunction with other moto happenings and continue on-line throughout the year. And as they say on TV, there's an opportunity to win valuable prizes.

My hope is to grow this concept within our adventure riding community, of which I'm privileged to be a member. Volunteers are also an important part of the equation, and more is always better. Please PM me if you'd like to help out. Part of the Adventure Summits model involves returns to community organizations that help out, that is, once this sucker actually breaks even.

What's an Adventure Summit?
As you ride in an Adventure Summit, the idea is to test all your adventuring skills. As you ride in, you score points by taking detours to ride on adventurous roads and trails, camping along the way. You shoot pictures and videos, and then share stories. Eating and partying is a big part of all this. And oh yeah, there's a friendly little riding skills competition.

The whole point is more about having a great time with new and old friends than it is to win. Most riders care less about winning than they do about getting their bike dirty.

Here's what's on tap so far... more to come as pieces and parts come together.
