New Member in Arizona

I recently purchased a 2011 R1200RT, the second RT I have owned. I had a 2000 R1100RT, but the surging drove me nuts, so I gave up on BMW at that point. I have been a long term Goldwing rider (since 1983, with the exception of the R11RT), putting lots of miles on 6 different machines, the most recent being a 2006 GL1800. However due to some problems with my feet, I could no longer support the stopped weight of the Wing, so was looking for a lighter alternative. This brought me back to BMW, and this bike has proven to be what I needed. Owned three months, and have accumulated 4000 miles so far, and loving every minute.

Glad you came back to the fold and are on the forum. Lots to learn hear. I wondered what sounded familiar with Casa Grande. Then I realized one of my distant relatives lived in Casa Grande about 100 years ago...info just dug up during some family research.

Took a trip out that direction a number of years ago...did a loop from Tucson towards Kitt Peak, Organ Pipe, Ajo, and then back to Phoenix. Interesting ride!!

Glad to see you here. I was in Casa Grande a few days ago enjoying the great weather with some Canadian friends who have bought a winter home there. Seems to be a lot of Canucks in your city. You have selected a mighty fine mount sir.
