There was a bit of a mix up this afternoon. We had similar posts in two different forums and we attempted to delete the one in NE Regionals and leave the more active one here in OTBP. Sorry...but that didn't work so well!
Some posts were lost...we apologize and hope you guys can pick things back up!!

Below is what Ian had posted that got combined with the original post. Just trying to get things back on track:

I've heard about this event in the past... If my timing works out it looks like a real hoot
i hear in the wind that there will be a USA GS Challenge event in September, actually two: one in the east and one in the west.
in addition to riding, i hear that you have to be a good social networker, too.
Stagehand, you'll be a shoe-in for that!

Sorry everyone! My fault for totally screwing this up and clicking the mouse too fast.
Thanks for the correction, Ian...it was hard to figure out where to separate things after the fact.![]()

Heh-
I see part of the challenge being to rouse your network from their torpor...
It kind of makes sense, in that they want to pull people they think will organize and utilize the new mediums for ad type purposes.
Similarly in the first one (The GS Trophy, I mean) riding skills were only 1 skill of 5, really, that applicants were chosen on.
I believe the first five skills they were looking for in a Trophy contestant were: riding skill, ambassadorship (to the brand, and riding in general), writing ability, mechanical ability, and teamwork.
I hope I can make it to the east coast one.
I also understand that the Canadian GS guys are really good, and it would be great to go play with them.
Stagehand.
