    K75 custom seat recommendations

Need to do something about the concrete hard seat on my K75. Since I'm inseam challenged and am already tippy toed on it, addon cushions are not an option.

Spencer's seat doesn't do seats older than 20 years. No sure about Corbin so I'm looking at other options. I've looked at the Russell day long but want something that looks a little more stock. I've looked Rick Mayers.

Any suggestions or experiences will be appreciated.

Rick Mayer will alter your existing saddle to make it more comfortable and easier to reach ground (he builds his saddles narrow at the nose).

The Corbin low seat only fits if you already have the low "lift-off" seat hardware. It will not work with the standard "hinged seat" hardware.

    TS Custom Saddles

I was not a believer in custom seats until Tom Simmons built seats for our K1200lt,
after 400 and 500 mile days while going from Arkansas to the west coast and back, then from Arkansas to the east coast and back. Last Summer with my wife and loaded.
He is on the net and his shop is in Fayetteville, Arkansas
If you get a hold of him set up a ride in, that way you will get it on time.
    Good luck

A used Corbin from Ebay for my K100, has made seat problems history when doing all day rides on that bike. A Russell seat does the same on my R1100.

100,000mi on Day Long Russell: Happy

    Don't know about short saddles.
Had Corbin with harder vinyl. I needed bike shorts under my jeans to ride 70 mi. OK Orded two up big leather Russell saddle. Awesome and holding up, recently added some shoe goo 1/4" wide line where folded front edge had made leather gray and thinner. Use a rain cover when parked outside and might rain, baseball umpire.

Let me tell you the harder vinyl sides of the Corbin saddle were the source of most of the discomfort. They crinkled when sat upon, become stiff and the folds irritate the rider. The (not so) new seat has leather top and sides, the sides give when sat upon and don't fold and irritate. No bike shorts, no beads, sometimes a sheepskin for trips that gets my seat a little further from my footpegs, straighter knees. The seat was $550 well spent years ago.

I found both my saddles used. Both are pain free. The Corbin is vinyl and the Russell is leather. I do have a Russell rain cover (not as well made or fitted as well as the actual seat) but what makes the vinyl nice is that it requires no protection, other than a brief waterproofing spraying a few times a year.
