Anyone have any experience in replacing the O2 sensor's with an aftermarket part Not the $245 BMW OEM?
Also when replacing the Brake rotors what is really necessary for replacement other than the M8X25-10.9 ZNS3 screws?

On the O2, I am sure someone might have an option...is your toast?
On the rotors, I always get new screws with the loctite on them. Nothing else to replace. You going aftermarket on the rotors? Some nice ones out there.

Don't know about the 1200 sensors but I replaced mine on my 1100 with aftermarkets and ran it a while, when Rob Lentini and I were looking for way to control the surge in the early RS. There was no difference in the how the bike ran with to OEM or the Aftermarket [which I recall was Bosch at around $50 or so].
As to the rotors, Steve is right, just the bolts. Get them from your BMW dealer and they are ready to go with the blue crap on them.
Easy fix - just takes a bit of time.

Thanks,
I have one O2 sensor thats crap.
This has been tested?
I found one that was unresponsive on my R12R using my GS-911. It was the cause of an intermittent rough idle that I experienced. When the signal went flatline the bike started idling roughly. There was also a somewhat rhythmic drone noise/vibration at at speed in 5th gear on the slab.
I tried replacing it (I happened to have some spares of the BMW part) - and it still failed intermittently. I finally tracked it down to the wire harness - being routed a bit too close to the transmission. Close enough that it rubbed through the insulation on that section of the harness - on the signal wire from the O2 sensor. And grounded it. Intermittently.
Fix was putting some electrical tape around the bare spot, adding a layer of the corrugated tubular wire loom to the harness, taping that up, and wiggling the wire harness around so it wasn't rubbing on the transmission.
Hans must have had a 2 beer lunch before installing my harness, I checked a lot of other hexheads, and none of them had that part of the harness within inches of the transmission.
Might be Hans worked on your bike too..
BTW - they are a 4 wire sensor. Nothing too exotic, a universal 4 wire should work as a replacement.
