Carrol Shelby did actually build a Cobra for Bill Cosby. It was one of two competition Cobras made street legal. It had dual Paxton superchargers on its 427 and really would do 200 mph. Cosby returned the car to Shelby after driving it only once.

The car Shelby built for Cosby was a copy of the one he had for himself. 900+ horsepower in 1966! They both had automatic transmissions. The car Cosby owned was destroyed in a crash that killed the guy driving it. Shelby's personal car sold a Barett Jackson for FIVE AND HALF MILLION DOLLARS!
