Weekend getaway-Gettysburg

That's weird. I've ridden or driven that way literally 100 times and never seen it. The only one I know of is near Huntingdon.

It's one of those unincorporated village type places.

As to camping, I'd go with the Caledonia or PG Furnace SP area. It's the better side of the county wrt traffic and nice roads.

Any "unofficial" meet/greet/ride set up yet? My schedule won't allow for a day long ride, although RB has some nice rides mapped.

I stopped for lunch there with a group of about 25 from the Army War College in Carlisle I was leading to the memorial last year, and everyone was happy.

I know Friday kicks off with a reception and cash bar. What time? What does the reception include?

There will be several MARs members in attendance and we are trying to make a plan. Should we plan on a group dinner elsewhere?

I am a new guy in town. This will be my first BMW Getaway. Though I call it a Rally since my wife is not coming, she does not ride. Went on my first ride Saturday with the Westchester Bemmer Riders and what a day a what a great ride. My first BMW group ride.
I look forward to meeting up with all the riders and passengers in Gettysburg. Hope you don't mind me picking your brains for your advice and opinons.

I have not attended a MOA event before and I'm not sure what to expect. I did not sign up for any of the tours but now that I look at the schedule I just received in the mail I am wondering whether there might be openings - the information in the ON magazine and on the MOA site has not been very helpful. Does anyone have insight into this?
