I too have this installed..It indeed compliments my camhead. For $150. and a ten day wait for the delivery..I would definitely buy this product again. Should have performed this way from the factory in the first place

You must have connected it to your saddle bags.

More likely, if you run booster and don't notice the difference maybe you are riding a Harley; have you looked at the label on the bike?

Well, a lot of us must be idiots then.
I purchased a BP for my previous 04 1150RT and never got around installing it before it got traded in for a 05 1200RT.

I contacted the maker who insured me that it was the same for both bikes. After installation, I checked it with the GS911 (which showed the temperature difference), proven it to work as showing lower temperature.

Well, I can't tell dick of a differences and will be pulling it out the next time I take the fairing off on both sides.

No point having it there, unless it's an improvement. Now it's just an added failure point.

I wonder then, if you might have had a faulty unit. I know several guys sporting this gadget with up most improvement. Even the BM magazine published it 'as an improvement aftermarket'. If you like your bike running dryer that would more realistic than to say the thing makes no difference
And, hey by the way, no insult meant on the last....simply making light of the issue on a comical mood. My apology on any negative unintended inference

As it gives me a lower temperature then ambient, it can't be faulty as that is all it's designed for....to give a lower perceived temperature.
Did the BM magazine report this on the 1200** model series?
The reason I ask is that the 1150 and earlier have less sensors and as such your computer has also less control of all the variables.
As an example: The 1200** has "2" oxygen sensors, while the 1150** has just "1".
The 1200** has idle actuators which constantly adjust the airflow/mixture at idle and lower rpm, where the 1150** has no such thing and relies on two BBS screws (one each side), which very often are "coked" up.
Proper tuning, i.e careful tapped adjustment/cleaning of both throttle bodies and spatially the BBS bypass air passage, followed by synchronization had an enormous impact on my 04 1150RT, while the same on my 05 1200RT(minus the BBS part) had very little improvement.
I also run 98 octane fuel only with no Ethanol, lots of riders appear to be stuck with 10% Ethanol and 95 octane fuel.
The different fuel could have an impact.

So are we comparing "apples to apples"?

What I am trying to convey is that depending on tuning/maintenance/fuel type and model/age of bike..i.e 1100/1150/1200Hexhead/Camhead we might all get different results from no difference to noticeable improvement.

There are too many variables to assume we all should be getting the same result.

By the way, mine is mounted on the 1200RT right at the RHS front frame, just above the air snorkel but not in-line with the oil cooler. It took quite a bit of effort trying to find a location which would keep it away from any possible engine/oil cooler heat.

I am happy to take on face value that riders can see an improvement. At the same time, others have to accept that some of us don't.
That makes it in no way a "snake oil" product, but rather a product that does not work on "every bike".
