fuel gauge light on all the time
Hi,
I'm new to the forums and motorcycling in general-I purchased a 1994 R1100RS with about 27,000 miles on it a month ago-What a joy to ride-The fuel gauge was working fine when purchased--I ran the tank down a few weeks ago to where the fuel low light came on, filled up and light went out--after about 3 or 4 more fillups the light has come on and stayed on even when tank is full--Is it possible for the float to get bound up on something in the tank?--Is it possible somehow to check the fuel indicator switch before spending for a new indicator?--There's no danger of running out of fuel because I reset the trip mileage with each fillup, but I just like to have everything working properly--I look forward to your replies--Tony

Same problem with my 94 R1100rs started today
Today, I filled up and the fuel light which had came on prior has stayed on. It turned out that I only needed 3.4 gallons, so the fuel light should not have come on yet. I have not checked out the float yet (probably this weekend). Any thoughts?

Opposites attract
My problem is the opposite. My low fuel light does not go on. How does one trouble shoot these problems? Is there a logical step by step? Mine was working last month!
