I removed the drive shaft from my 95 R1100RSL and discovered the shaft had twisted at the rubber bond sometime this year. I had paint marks on the shaft for phasing during assembly which are now 45 or 225 degrees from the initial position. The current shaft has about 50000 miles. I was planning on sending it to Bruno for u-joint replacement because the u-joint seals had been leaking. I just e-mailed Bruno asking if the bond is a repairable item and I am waiting to hear from him. Does anybody have any experience with the driveshaft slipping at the rubber bond? Does the shaft tolerate some slip at the bond? Would I be on borrowed time if I set the phasing and continued to use the shaft?
Thanks,
