Last Friday I was lucky enough to be called to a site visit during a sunny day. The site, a bridge construction and creek restoration project about 70 miles from Portland was located where a little creek meets the mighty Columbia River. It was cold and clear and the roads were wet.
This photo, taken south of the site in the coast range, shows Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams above the windscreen, and Mt. Ranier between the two small trees.
This photo shows the working forest of the coast range and the sheen of wet pavement. The road is Hwy 47 between Hwy 30 at the Columbia River and the hamlet of Mist on the Nehalem river.
