Can the U Joints be replaced on a 75/5? Working on a bike that has been hit and damaged the u-joint. Do i need to find a new one? How do i know if its a LWB or not? I have a pic of the swing arm. Any help?

Just below the flange you will see where there is a short cylinder(2"+or-)spliced in which makes it a LWB.Most of the collective agree that a complete replacement of the swingarm including driveshaft is the most economical way to go-check used.If the u joint experienced enough trauma to break then the swingarm is probably compromised too.

No. Not exactly. But the drive shaft/u-joint assembly can be repaired. At over $600 for a new drive shaft, I had mine rebuilt for around $200.Can the U Joints be replaced on a 75/5?

In particular, you're looking to hook up with Henderson Precision to rebuild your driveshaft u-joint.

Flea market guy has a shaft. This forum is great. Best club i ever joined. The bike is cool too.
i think i paid around $160 for new u-joint with these guys.

You can buy a good used replacement drive shaft for $25! Check IBMR's flea market or Ebay!

Found one on E Bay $60 (swingarm and shaft).... Again we will see what we get.
