2005 R1200RT engine stalls when cold and clutch lever let out

My 2005 R1200RT has 102,000 miles and recently has started to stall when the engine is cold (not ambient temperature-wise, but simply cold meaning not having run recently) as I start to let out the clutch lever. If I let the bike idle for a minute or two, the bike will not stall.

Any thoughts on the above? Has anyone else on here experienced this issue before? I am wondering if the engine is getting a little tired, or if there's a part or adjustment that could be made to solve this problem.

Valves maybe need adjustment. Are you due for maintenance soon, per schedule?

Fairly soon, yes. 1,500 more miles.
