    questions regarding points and condenser.

Does anyone happen to know the specifications for the condenser used in an r75/7? I'm looking for an alternative solution to spending 20 bucks at the dealership for a part that retails for 1.89 anywhere else.

    How about spending $0.00?

If the points look good (not burned) then why not just leave the old condenser in play. Many recommend not replacing it at all if it is OK. It is not really a wear item like the points are.

Doesn't answer the question, and I don't know how true it is, but -
I've heard that older Chevy or Volkswagen condensers will work.
    Don't know the capacitance (uF).

There are a few non-BMW source for stuff like this -
http://www.motoelekt.com/ comes to mind, and I'm sure other posters will offer more.

are all also possible information sources.
