I am reading the 1990 book , Investment Biker by Jim Rogers, the multi-millionaire BMW riding guy that's still in the news as an investment guru. I saw him on cable news a day ago from Singapore, in fact. I'll also say that the book includes predictions that are on the spot in todays world & USA economic reality! Having spent my fortune(actually not) investing in Nike shoes,etc., in raising our 3 sons, his investment advice is wasted on me.
The book details his ride around the world , with his 23 yr old girl friend(he's a year older than me so noteworthy when your woman is much younger than my kids) and after the wilds of Siberia & China too, they arrive in Berlin & the bikes having been torn to pieces(you name it, it was broken) by the ride are "rebuilt by the BMW exec's" under warranty! I suppose their FD was OK...
