    Commuter bike

I have a 190 mile a day commute five days a week. Which bike would cost less to ride, tires, maintenance, gas? A K75RT or an F650GS?

    Thanks, JON

I have both...sort of. 2002 F650GSD and 1985 K100RT.Use the RT for the colder months because the heat is so bad in the summer...the 650 for those days. I've never figured out the daily costs but would advise it depends on the price of gas and the tires. Your K75 would probably have better weather protection but the 650 has awesome gas mileage...my guess is that the 650 would be cheaper in the long run but not as comfy.

    Schwinn.

The 650 would be cheaper on gas by like 15mpg, a K75 that starts out in good condition might require less maintenance, but the K would be more comfortable by far.

Personally I would prefer to enjoy the 800 miles a week that you plan to spend on it in exchange for the extra 6 or 7 gallons of gas saved per week.
