For those who may want to stop and smell the roses, I've attached a 2 hour covered bridge tour.

.............. I would suggest that the long stretch on Rt 11 is fairly boring. Better to pop east of the river at Duncannon and take Rt 147 up the east shore.

What he said, 11 is not fun, east side of the river for sure. Not faster, but more interesting.

That said, if you like corners the roads E of the river offer much more too.

In all fairness, though, 11 does have a large array of adult "book stores" since it's a major trucking route!

True, but you can also travel further west. The country roads west of Liverpool to Jersey Shore are fun then twist yourself back through Lewisburg.

If I was coming up from the south I would not want to miss Rt 125.

True. 144/44/120 are some of my favorite roads in the state. I'd still stay on 147 rather than 11 as much as possible. perhaps crossing the river at Lewisburg, Sunbury, or Duncannon.

Agree once you get N, the roads that traverse the ridges from Wport, to the SW are all wonderful roads

Here is one S of BBurg, for you 5%ers that love a lot of small back roads that twist and turn in a technical fashion. Stay awake, lots of surprises if you are sleeping, lots of fun if not. Includes the 125 in both directions.
