    All three of the Swedish "The Girl Who.." series movies are now available on DVD (and streaming Netflix!)..

    Watch them in order, and as in the books - the middle one is a transition between the first and third.. so it's a bit slow (and puzzling in spots.)

    I saw The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire in the movies - loved the first, was somewhat disappointed in the 2nd (transition one.)

    Then I saw The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest on DVD and it all came together. Just like the books

    I dread the US remake(s).. I think I'll just not see them.

    Good stuff - shame that Stieg Larsson isn't with us to offer us more great reading.

    Just sat through the entire extended version of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Grew up on those books and while no movie is perfectly transformed into a movie, this is pretty much what my imagination figured it to be like and better.

    Went to see Trus Grit a couple of weeks ago...I loved it, my wife would probably have passed on it.
    On the weekend, we went to see Unknown (Leam Neeson). One of the best suspence film I have EVER seen. If you like suspence films, do not miss this one.

    Just saw Battle: Los Angles. Lots of explosions and rapid camera cuts but it wasn't hokey like Independence Day and paced itself better than District 9. Honestly I don't see movies like I used to but my son had the night off and I was starting a long weekend so we had a boys night out. I'll take aliens over zombies any day.
