    Talking Classy Leather

Even tho' we normally wear fairly decent textile stuff...I still love my semi-custom choclate Thurlow jacket & pants; my wife still looks great in the old gray & dark blue BMW leather jacket......

Yup.... Returned the jacket. I'm looking for a used Vanson now, we shall see what I end up with. Kind of a shame, since I really liked the reflective aspects of this coat, but I couldn't live with the sour taste after the first incident.

Now those are really nize. Does HG produce anymore and more to the point are they available here in the states? Leather is cool although IMHO they take some time to become "seasoned", i.e. broken in and properly christened with splashes of blood, beer, marmalade . . you get the idea.

I am looking for a used Hein Gericke leather jacket myself. It does not really matter if it is Hein Gericke, First Gear, or Vanson, as long as it has some age on it. I think the leather jackets of yesteryear are better than todays....

I should be happy with this jacket...Kirbster
In 1988 I bought a leather bomber jacket, on sale. A few months later the zipper blew. I took it to a leather tailer and had her put in a high quality YKK replacement, which cost me $100.

Thirty years later, I'm still wearing that jacket, almost daily, in season.

Now, let me tell you about my Marsee tank bag....
