    Exclamation Montana!!!!!

Moving to Montana next year; Helena area. Are there any good independent wrenches in the Helena area? Any Helena area groups.... MOA... Airhead? Any info about the riding scene in Helena or western Montana will be appreciated.

There's a couple of shops in Montana listed here:

One in Roberts, the other in Missoula.

There is a fairly active "airheads" group in MT. They have had a couple of tech weekends annually for the last few years with info in the airmail. If you are part of this group or have friends who are they should be able to put you in touch with a few of the folks in the Helena area.

Thanks. I am beginning to think there is not much going on in Helena or Montana judging by the responses to this and other posts. I am an Airhead and will follow-up on your advice.

Don't know much about either, but there are a couple of chartered MOA clubs in Montana. At least they're listed on the BMWMOA club pages: http://bmwmoa.org/club/chartered_clubs/US/Montana. The only dealer, I believe, is in Missoula.

Montana's warm-weather season is too brief for my tastes, but compared to Fairbanks, I suspect you'll find it nearly semitropical. Either way, the scenery and the riding in western Montana are nothing short of spectacular ÔÇö endless, winding roads with light traffic that head through hills and mountains.

We may be the only people to move to Montana because of their short and mild winters.

Most people are surprised at the mild climate in Montana's Bitterroot River Valley. Check it out.

    move

Helena, and the rest of Montana, is a beautiful place to ride. good paved roads and lots of dirt. Also, fairly long riding season. Bring your snowmobile for fun in the off season!

We'll be moving in October to the Helena area. We plan to ride two of our bikes down in June and put them in storage, we'll trailer the others down. Just sold our SnoGos; guess we'll have to buy some new ones.
