Does it matter if you comment on gear threads obout stuff you've been using even if nobody posted on any particular thread for 3 or 4 years????
Because I'd like to comment on things I've been using for years that have exceded my expectations.

I happily comment on Aerostich threads, and my Roadcrafter was made in 1986 (I did get new pads last year!) Personally I think xxx product after xxx years reviews are far more valuable than new product reviews.

Yep, start your own thread and call it "Positive Gear Experience" or somesuch. That'd be info to share, and you wouldn't have to pull up older threads.

Just something to think about.....

There have been HUGE advances in protective armor the last few years. A 24 year old jacket might be an old friend and faithful companion, but if I were to continue wearing it, I'd definitely upgrade its armor.

Went back to Aerostich a few years back for an overhaul, turns out all it needed was a zipper repaired. As mentioned, brand new, state-of-the-art pads as of October last year
