    Much easier

    Did mine a few thousand miles ago, a real pita since I did it with the snorkel in place. Your method makes a lot more sense and I'll use it next time. When the old one came out it didn't look all that dirty after 30k miles do you know what the interval is supposed to be?.

    The BMW schedule is every 24K miles.

    While taking the pictures for this I was ready to replace - I just blew it out with some compressed air and put it back in

    I have seen some pretty dusty air filters...I think if you ride in the dirt or on gravel. Sometimes leaves, etc. But overall, most filters are replaced prematurely dirt wise.
