Thumbs up New Member from Minnesota

    Hi All -
Just want to chime in here as a couple of newlyweds from Minnesota who have joined the Big Time. My new bride and I decided to start married life off right by getting a couple of His 'n Hers BMWs. She went for an Alpine White 2010 R 1200-R Special Edition, which she just loves. I went for a 2010 R 1200 RT in Polar Ice, with the idea that we could both ride it two-up when called for. We both had bikes of our own before we got married (Honda and Kawasaki) which we traded in. Now we're even closer than before (but separate, if you know what I mean. "Ride your own ride" has been mentioned a few times already).

Looking forward to the great experiences that this forum offers, as we explore these wonderful bikes together. Here's a pic of the bright 'n shiny pair.

If you would have been oldspiceboy I could've posted the sailor walking through the village throwing bottles of aftershave at strangers while he whistled the oldspice jingle.

    oh, what the heck.....

Haikarate is MUCH better and Super8 is under-rated. Where in MN are you?? I'll be in Brainerd the last week of July. My boys are in a hockey camp and current plans are everyone is flying but me, I'm riding the moto.

We're in the Cities, a couple of hours south of Brainerd. We will be heading up that way in late August. There are some good rides up there, especially north of Brainerd. Not very good ice for hockey in July, though.

Were you to riding in WI yesterday? I think I may have followed you across the bridge in Wabasha.
I'm down in Rochester. Hope to run into you on the road...

Yep! I believe you did see us! We rode out to Osseo for some fabulous pie at the "Norske Nook" and then rode back through WI on 37 (what a great ride!) to Nelson, then over the Wabasha bridge and up the scenic byway to Hastings, then headed West for home. Kinda breezy, but otherwise a fantastic day to ride.

We do like riding the Great River Road around Lake Pepin, so you'll see us out there again, for sure. You may know the popular open-air stand in Pepin--that's a favorite stopping place. Say hi! if you see us

Cool. I was admiring your bikes. Nice!

A buddy and I were out on the hunting spots for the Titanic Tour...
