looking for route and site suggestions

I'm flying to Tuscon on Tuesday 5/11, picking up my stored RT and heading to Seattle, Wa. I plan on a 9 day trip. I'm looking for suggestions for an eastern route, in other words not Nevada, Cal, Oregon but more likely north to Utah and then meander over to Washington from there. Any suggestions for routes or sites to see would be appreciated.

You're riding through one of my favorite parts of the US. I'd try to head up towards ST. George, through ZION NP, down to Kanab to the North side of the Grand Canyon. Rent a cabin if you can get one and enjoy sunset over the rim while dining in the Lodge. Backtrack north to Bryce Canyons and on to Moab. I'd probably keep heading north to Red Lodge just to enjoy Beartooth Pass from the NE down to Yellowstone NP. A neat little town NW of there is Ennis, MT. Head on up to Glacier NP or over to Challis and Stanley, ID. Nine days. I'm jealous.

I went online and checked the weather in central Utah and there is a chance of snow in the higher elevations.
    Take some warm dry gear.

i really liked the ruby mountain wilderness area, near Elko, NV.

the camping was excellent.... i recommend the thompson canyon campground.

WHOOPS... you said not NV. well, there is no accounting for taste!

try the million dollar highway, US 550 north of Durango, CO

don't miss CO 92 along the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

CO 139 is a sweet road.

there is outstanding cowboy camping in the Flaming Gorge, Utah area.

Go soothingly through the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.
