Don't forget the fishing in PA, especially fly fishing for trout. It's been a while since I lived and fished in PA, but there are plenty of nice streams, some world class, within a day's ride.

Fishing Creek in Benton and Bowmans Creek near Noxen are nice ones.

Think about doing some forum rider reports that could end up in ON. Tell us about your facorite Pa area or way to the rally. Lets try and keep people off the slab.

I would guess that won't be ready until after the upcoming Redmond rally. After that, when they get the 2011 rally page up and running, you can look for information there or email the rally chairs who can point you to the correct person. Better yet would be to contact the committee chair in charge of the area you want to volunteer in. I suggest working registration - I had a great time when I did it in West Bend!

Yeah, that's something to boast about in our legal code. Right up there with 14 as the minimum age for legal marriage, if pregnant.

Seriously, you have to be from somewhere to truly know what makes it special. PA is a great place, but it's got some unique features. Hopefully, everybody will come and enjoy the rally. I suggest a large plate of Ponhaus for breakfast, a bowl of chicken corn soup for lunch (dinner) and a generous helping of Ham Potpie for dinner (supper). Yep, you get the picture........very unique, in a very special way, just like the uncle that the family didn't speak of.

Oh, and yes, don't forget to bring a big sense of humor.

I'm not sure if they still have a gas station in Marienville. It's pretty sad these days, the nice houses are hunting camps owned by folks from Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Yes but it was a great place to grow up. My youngest brother is still there. he works for the State park service. he's over Cook Forest & Clear Creek State Parks.

Up there, you have the following choices for employment, US Forest Service, State Park/Game Commission or the new prison. Anything else is pretty much a minimum wage job. It's never good when the government jobs are the best in town.
