Zumo, XM Radio and J&M CB system

I know this is probably somewhere, but I have been looking for ages.

I have a J&M Corp (BMW branded) installed on my R1200RT and a Zumo 550. I would like to hear XM Satellite radio through the J&M system.

I know I need to get a GXM 30 antenna to plug into the Zumo 550.

    Here are the questions.

    1. Where do I get the right cable to plug the audio out from the Zumo to the J&M system?

    2. Is the output from the audio from the Zumo 550 in stereo or Mono?

I'm sure that some of you smarties have got this sorted.

Try Cycle Gadgets. They have helped me with the J&M stuff before. J&M website looks like they also have a cable for this.

    I use a 478

The sound out of it is mono. I ran the wires to a Mix It 2 which I can plug other sound sources in to also. I use the priority channel for the Garmin so the little lady can always be heard. I run that to the J&M and listen through J&M speakers in my helmet.

there should be a hookup cable (wire) that came with your J&M unit. mine plugs into the side of my Zumo. I can here my GPS or music that I have on a SD card in the Zumo. I'm not sure about your XM hookup, but give J&M a call. they will be happy to get you what you need. I just talked to them last week about putting intercom & music into the new sidecar I have on order...

My BMW Branded J&M 2003 CB came with the proper 3.5mm stereo patch cable that plugs into the left side of the Zumo 550 cradle. It brings in stereo from the MP3 and XM radio and mono from the GPS directions and Bluetooth phone connection. The phone, directions, MP3, and XM are prioritized by the Zumo and down stream the J&M prioritizes that with any CB activity. It all seems to work well.

The stereo patch input for the J&M is connected to a separate plug inside the rubber boot where the multi-pin connector from the head unit resides. All of these items should play together when properly wired.

Just thought I would update... Yes, I got the auxiliary cable from J&M and the satellite GXM 30. Now all working and love the sat radio through the system. All good.
