A few years ago on one of my solo long distance excursions in the south western part of the U.S., a guy in one of those gas station casinos told me that he swears by adult diapers for long distance riding.
Just wanted to pass that on to those who might be interested. - Bob

I find all of the synthetic wicking fabrics to be a great improvement. Some also have a windblock built in which is a big help if its really cold out.

I have three pairs of wicking type underwear and my absolute favorite pair/brand are called " Wickers America". They fit well(keep the family very happy) and do the job with wicking and are easily washed and dryed overnight for another go at the road in the morning! Made in America too!I don't remember where I got them but you can Goggle the name for a source. The Under Armour brand is also very good and the choice of many millionarie athletes that can buy anything out there-also come in many styles and fits.LD may be great but there are more affordably priced choices that are just as good if not better, including the above. I really don't have any issue with the el cheapo cotton boxers I buy @ wally world for on the farm fashion...![]()
Thanks for the heads up on Wickers America. The prices are much more favorable than some other options that have been discussed. They do make bikers' shorts (for motorcycle riders) that don't have the seam. Alas, they only have them in men's sizes. I called and the lady I spoke to suggested that I order a men's biker short for my wife but get a size smaller than she would normally wear (i.e., get a men's small rather than a women's medium).
I've ordered some shorts and shirts to do some experimenting with this spring.

On the LD COmfort, would you guys recommend long or short? Mainly for summer & spring... Why I ask is that often times, having something long on keeps you cooler than shorts or short sleeve & keeps the sweat off your jacket & pants.
