ride what you've got; enjoy the road you're on!

I think Waterbuffalo was the "offical" name of the 750, or was that the "affectionate" Name ?
I spent many hours on the 250 six-speed Hustler as well (learned to ride on that pretty much) nothing like waking up to the smell of 2-stroke while camping in the in-field at the summer races.....
Oh, and I guess I should post a pic from the pre-digital days
Here's four from some I scanned taken in the mid 70's when I worked as a moto-messenger in DC, we would all hang out after work in the alley behind the shop, the bikes in the one pic are our personal machines since metro provided one's for work.
damn there sure seemed to be a lot of drinking going on in those dayz...
the guy in the lower left quad of the pic in the lower right frame is the (im)famous Lap Nyugen of airhead fame.
rest are here

The Suzuki triples of the 1970's seem to be fairly popular. Here is my 1974 GT550 in my parents backyard in WV in 1974 or 75. First BMW didn't happen until 2006.

1973 or so on my Honda CT70 in Dunwoody, GA. I still remember when it needed service at the local Honda shop, folding down the handlebars and putting it in the trunk of the car. Wasn't really a motorcycle, but I had lots of fun riding it through the woods north of Atlanta.

That's me in front. About 1971. Didn't get a motorized bike for another 10 years, showing amazing understanding of mixing teenage hormones and horsepower.
And I don't look anything like that anymore.

Summer of 88 or 89, I'm not sure. My 1987 Suzuki 1400cc Intruder. My last non BMW motorcycle. I rode this bike for 8 years as I was busy raising my son and did not ride far. Mostly to work and some weekends.
The thing about traveling is, you never want it to end and you can't wait to get home.

The man who sold me my first motorcycle, he lived across the street from me. ÔÇ£Iron Man Ed KretzÔÇØ , winner of the first Daytona 200. He is in the motorcycle hall of fame.
This pic taken after the Daytona win, It was run on the sand back then.

This would be me taking my daughter for her first ride, probably around 1992.
Seca was shaft drive no?
My next bike after this was a 74 R90/6 my first Beemer.
Can't find any pictures as I lost thousands of images in the 2006 flood here.
My life history, gone.
Many Adirondack trips on that beauty.
Black with red/white pinstripe. Daily rounder commuter on her.
Pair of Toasters followed her.
One of which remains.
