This is really a wonderful idea and you can certainly proceed forward with collecting the funds. The Camp Gears contribution can be sent to BMW MOA headquarters (mailing address in front of BMW ON) % Bill Knott, Accountant. The Club will receive a thank you letter from the Foundation.

You may want to consider doing an article for the BMW MOA Foundation website or the BMW ON about the club, your fund raising and your daughter's experience.

Thank you so much for supporting Camp Gears.

Check out the February ON for articles and advertising concerning Expresso Riders and the Treasures of Yosemite rally.

Our club will also be attending the National en masse.

For anybody who has done the GEARS program, am I better off an on 05 R1200ST or a 78 R100? I'm not sure which bike to ride to the rally from Chicago, as they both have good things about them.

Also, how many people typically are in the GEARS program?

I'm starting to get excited. I'm a student and I've got the R100 in my dorm room, torn apart with the 4000 mile round trip in mind.

As you can see from the 2009 pictures, all kinds of bikes and riders show up for Camp G.E.A.R.S.:

With Chuck and Julie Manley masterminding the camp in 2010, I'd expect even more than ever!

Glad to hear you'll be joining in the fun, friends and sharing your knowledge with other riders.

And thanks to the Expresso Riders and many others for supporting this great program!
    Couldn't do it without you!

    I'm in. For sure now.

Just found out yesterday that I wasn't accepted to this fancy schmancy summer environmental economics summit that takes place the same dates.. I had to fake disappointment when I told my econ advisor I didn't get in...

    The good and the bad.

I appreciate all the feedback and was really looking forward to my daughter attending Camp GEARS in Redmond. However, between my first post and this one my daughter has acquired what is certainly the new status symbol of the decade and therefore cannot attend the rally.

A JOB! And not just a job but a real job in her chosen profession utlizing her degree. Whoopee!!

The problem is she will be too old for Camp Gears in another year so we're keeping an eye on the horizon for the rally location in 2011.

Don't worry, we're still coming but she has to stay home and, uh, work!

Dayum! Did you welcome her to the REAL world??

Tell her not to feel alone, that's why I can't go too.

We need a bump. I'm excited for Camp Gears. Who has registered already?
