My family toasting this past May:

Our son who passed his state architecture boards
My folks 83th and 82nd birthdays and
to me (standing) who successfully finished eight weeks of radiation and chemo therapy for throat cancer.

2010 will be even better; a trip to Milan, a first grandson and a wedding of the cute couple in the photo (our daughter and her fiancee).

This thread is special. It is a testament to the good people here and what's truly meaningful. Though that varies somewhat, in the main the photos feature family and friends. All the photos are noteworthy however, regardless of what is depicted. dfmcintyre's photo illustrates my point, celebrating as it does accomplishments, overcoming illness and in a very real way hope for the future; all revolving around his family. Wonderful post.

    Matching hair cuts.

This was taken 3/4 of the way through my wife's Chemo/Radiation treatment for Lung Cancer (non-smoker). We find out tomorrow how effective treatment was. We are expecting a good report. As one can imagine this event has had a profound effect on our lives and the lives of others as my wife has reached out to others with her words of encouragement and testimony of faith.

    Tough Choice.

On June 21st I had volunteered to be a MotoMarshall/motorcycle support during the Livestrong Challenge here in Seattle.
I had a tough time picking one out of this group of images.
Regardless... This was the most meaningful event for me in 2009.

    In Memory Of.

More are here if you'd like to see some of the event.

We're right there with you. Tina had chemo session #8 last Friday and we're 3 weeks from her PET scan.

    Good luck to you guys.

Congrats to all you guys who are survivors, and congrats to your support crew, too. Not an easy road to travel, but one Geri and I learned about 17 years ago.
