    BMW Battery Charger

    I have a 3 amp BMW Battery Charger received with my bike, a 1996 R1100RT. The charger appears to shut off as the battery becomes charged. Can I just leave the charger plugged into the bike accessory socket for the winter and not be concerned about overcharging the battery?
