    California RAIN riding:)

Yesterday, it rained many inches in CA, our first of the year. We get 6 month rain absenses, during summer here. I have no pics, but did ride the GSA out and about in hard rain yesterday. A great rain bike, the GSA. Its sure good to see the wet stuff again, as 6 months without seems long. Anybody else get out in the storms on the BMWs in CA..?Sierra Foothills is my home, Clovis,CA...Randy

Polar Bear I envy you. I live in Bakersfield and yesterday all we got was high winds and blowing dust. Absolutely no rain whatsoever. The Interstate 5 did have a chain reaction wreck with 10 vehicles and at least 3 dead. Enjoy that refreshing rain and by all means Ride Safe.

So, when are the coastal mud slides scheduled to begin?

Two days after all the wild fires are extinguished.

....Could be worse... like if they had to wait until the budget is balanced.

Not even. The mudslides will follow the big earthquake.

We don't worry about floods or earthquakes in Paradise but we sure worry about fire. With the several inches of rain we received Tuesday I can stop worrying for another season. Maybe I'll take a run down to earthquake country this weekend.

    We got it hard!

10-12 inches fell above our house in the Sierra Foothills(and higher) and we got 4 inches at my house at the edge of the Foothills. The Sierra Tops got several feet of snow and its clear today, so its beautiful. We got lucky with no slides as yet, but the coastal areas are the place for most of that. Tioga Pass(9900') of Yosemite NP Fame has closed, maybe for the season. We'll see. Randy
