Spyder - all brands were welcome

The Master of Ceremonies - Michael Friedle

A film crew was there recording the event.

City of New Paltz and Dutchess County Sheriff presented a seminar on safe motorcycling.

Safe riding procedures for groups were part of the presentation.

    The presentation was well received.

WHO'S R80ST with R100RS bars was that? was it ray's? i think he was talking to me about mine at the YB pemi rally and said he had one. i loved the way it looked and had been basically looking for that setup for a while to see if it'd work on mine.

Thank you for putting the Catskills event on.

I especially enjoyed the ride up and then down the ski slopes of Hunter Mountain on dirt, gravel, mud, leaves, plastic (erosion control strips) and even wet turf. That red dirt sure made a pretty sight on the bikes at the end of the day. By the way, I keep looking, but if anyone finds a link to MAX BMW's video of the ride, please link it here.

No sissy paper cups for these hardy Bavarians.

Ready to be added to Knackwurst and Bratwurst.

    Hearty fare.

    Hearty fare.

    Deep fried pickles?

A scary thought but at least they didn't promise a kitten.

    At an Oktoberfest?

I was surprised at the amount of space available for camping. The Hunter Mountain camping site could easily hold several hundred tents without anyone tripping over one another.

You are NOT going to believe whose bike this is!

Owned by a young lady attracted by the all brands are welcome flavor of Color in the Catskills.

Here she is visiting with Lyman Foss, BIG Gig auctioneer after a ride in the Catskills.

Colorful picture of an RT and riders.

Lots more non BMW bikes were in attendance this year.

Another marque attracted by Colors in the Catskills.

I guess the forecast kept people away. I was very surprised by all the open space, and now that I've done it once, I'll know where the level spots are next year.

Genuine German music for those who wanted a true taste of Oktoberfest.

Lots of shopping opportunities for more than motorcycle farkle.

Fill it up with good German beer. Why use a paper or plastic cup?

Bring home your own Oktoberfest band.

And if country is more your style ...

    This outside band was rocking.

A warm fire as the sun goes behind Hunter Mountain.

Does anyone know where the video of the Saturday off-road climb up Hunter Mountain has been posted? The MaxBMW employee who was wearing the camera said it would be posted, but I cannot find it.

Or just some photos of that ride!
